Derby Panthers - Cooper

After 2 regular season game rainouts and 1 makeup game rainout
Cooper Finally got to play his first game of the season tonight!
To our surprise Cooper got to pitch the first game of the year. Yes, I was nervous, because this is our first year in kid pitch. Cooper did very well for his first outting striking out 5 batters and not allowing any hits. Although at this age most kids are stepping out of the batters box once the pitch is on the way. Oh, and he did hit one little punk that was crowding the plate. Us sports minded people call that "brush back".

Is that "George Brett"? Cooper on the other hand was up on the line (Yes we call that crowding the plate. The reason for crowding the plate is one can cover the whole plate as Cooper tends to try and pull everything he sees. I explained that earlier in our blog), but he was told by your one and only. Cooper also got one hit and a walk. Oh, yes we did win the game thanks to the other pitcher walking like 18 kids and our 2 hits.

We got sod a week or so ago and were finally able to mow it last Friday. YIPEE!

Happy 9th Birthday Cooper! (Part II)

Cooper started out his Birthday by going to eat at his favorite restaurant McD's...yum ;0)
Then we all went bowling !

Oh Yeah....picked up a spare!

Cooper invited his friend and cousin Cody to come along.

Then we came home and opened presents!

After opening presents the boys and Blake went to go see the new movie Robin Hood.
Instead of cake Cooper opted for Dirt Dessert, which is super Yummy! He thanked both Blake and I for the "best birthday ever!"

Happy 9th Birthday Cooper!! (Part I)

What a beautiful baby boy...where did all that black hair come from??
His 2 big eyes peekin out of the blankie! When Blake and I drove him home we thought he was so fragile that I sat in the backseat with him and Blake took the back roads home from Wesley Hospital and drove about 25 mph!

Cooper is happy go lucky and just a joy!

He can also be a little stinker...but then again look at his parents!

So proud of baby brother...for the moment.

First t-ball team

First day of Kindergarten

Look at that grin.

Funny fact about Cooper...he will break out into Opera like voice at ANY time!

We have enjoyed every minute of these past 9 years and look forward to watching him grow even more.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM!!!

This Bible verse really describes my mom!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:1-8a and 13 )

Thank you mom for ALL that you do. Happy Mother's Day.
I LOVE YOU!
