The End of Summer Fun

Grammy Judy was kind enough to arrange horseback riding for the boys and me! I hadn't realized this until the day of, but I haven't ridden a horse for close to 20 years! It was super fun and I was so glad that the boys enjoyed it. They were not afraid at all!
Camden wasn't even afraid!!

Grammy with Carson. The boys were not allowed to ride alone. They either had me riding with them or they had Grammy or me on lead.

We spent about 1.5 hours riding horses. By the end we were all sweaty and so were the horses!

The horses get ridden fairly frequently, but only at a walk. The owner had never galloped with this horse! I tried it out but could feel some resistance to a full out run and I really didn't want to get thrown so I played it safe :0) Cooper and Carson let me gallop with them, but only Cooper liked it. Carson started yelling as soon as the horse started to trot.

Grampa Larry oversaw the BBGun fun! Grammy made them a target and Grampa helped with the rest.
Cooper shooting at the target. They are both a really good shot!

On Thursday we headed out to the lake! The boys really enjoyed swimming and fishing and camping out...they could have stayed there for days.

Carson fishing
Cooper fishing.

Camden loved riding around with Grampa. Here they are at the lake cruising around.

Cooper and Carson would FIGHT over Grampa Larry's scooter! They LOVED riding around the yard in it because they could do it themselves. Sometimes Camden would ride along and he'd be Chillaxin in the seat while the boys chauffered him around. Check out Cooper's pants in the pictures. Those are his new boxer briefs. Him and Carson changed to boxers this year because according to Carson he "didn't want to wear tidy whities anymore" ;0) The neighbor boy Nate wears them so I'm pretty sure that is where they got the idea.

I LOVE Smores and we enjoyed making and eating them!

Isn't this a Funny picture?! Here are the boys plus neighbor friend Jake at the Tulsa Aquarium. We got home late Friday from Iola and then on Sunday they boys and I along with our wonderful neighbor Dana and her 2 kids went to the Aquarium together.
We had a great time looking a sea life!
